Who is Salt?
As a CIA officer, Evelyn Salt swore an oath to duty, honor and country. Her loyalty will be tested when a defector accuses her of being a Russian spy. Salt goes on the run, using all her skills and years of experience as a covert operative to elude capture. Salt’s efforts to prove her innocence only serve to cast doubt on her motives, as the hunt to uncover the truth behind her identity continues and the question remains: “Who is Salt?”
Has viral marketing really come this far? Hiring a group of Russian Nationals to infiltrate our government in order to promote an Angelina Jolie movie is a pretty ballsy move. I just think they should have cast the woman who plays the femme fatale of the 10 spies to instead play the lead in the movie. Ed Morrissey at Hot Air writes
the femme fatale of the ring, a 28-year-old woman using the name Anne Chapman, doesn’t help readers take it much more seriously. The AP has a picture of Chapman from a Russian alumni website with her dressed as a princess, and her rather public profile in the US suggests that she may never have lost that attitude
Anybody that knows anything about spying knows that a female spy doesn’t try to keep in touch with friends from high school. They were too cool then and are definitely too cool now. For more information on female spies see Bond Girls
This is just another testament to the idiocy of Hollywood executives.
They hired an imposter to act in a movie and an actress to pose as an imposter. Hollywood must learn that good acting cannot be replaced by special effects (see wigs)
