I can’t believe they actually passed this bill in the House of Representatives late last night. Pelosi changed the term “public option” into “consumer option” and then used Moveon.org to threaten moderate dems into passing it. What is even weirder was how somber and composed the Democrats were during the vote.

As the vote count hit the 218 needed to secure passage, Democrats erupted in cheers. They turned to hug and kiss each other and then shouted out a countdown of the last 10 seconds before the vote closed. Republicans were silent.
So we the peasents citizens get a 2000 page heap of garbage and Alan Grayson receives a passionate kiss friendly hug from Barney Frank. Well done House Democrats. To celebrate this occasion I have created my very own 1960s Obama inspired protest mantra. This one is topical and addresses the hundreds of billions of dollars that this bill would take from Medicare.
Nancy Pelosi tried. Senior citizens cried.
